Welcome

Welcome to the wiki pages of eecoo.net. Here you'll find everything concerning the eecoo network from people over projects to documentation. Please feel free to participate or just explore the network.

Below we provide a list of categories. The categories contain the actual contents hosted by this wiki pages. They are used for structuring and therefore offering a better overview.

Headlines (Schlagzeilen)

  • Maven 2 repository is ready
Happily I can announce that we have our own Maven artifact repository on Rose running. The setup was quite simple but as always you have to know what to do in the right place...
Anyway, there is a public maven repository and an internal maven repository (both containing snapshots and releases). The public repository contains artifacts that we need for our development; the internal one contains private artifacts that are the outcome of our development. As long as we don't release any artifacts we'll keep them in the internal repository. If we decide to distribute them to the public we'll put them in the public repository as well.
Since the public repository (that might be bit confusing, sorry) contains non-eecoo developed artifacts it is access restricted for now. You can use your eecoo login as usual to access it. We have to clarify legal issues before unsecuring it. So, for now please put in there only GPL >= v2 licensed packages as we have the greatest chance to publish them lateron legally.
Read further on how to use the repository in your projects or on how to push artifacts into the repositories.

  • Rose Updates
Once again I updated our server rose to recent versions. Major enhancements are Apache 2.2.3 and a brand new Version of Trac 0.10 with pretty nice plugins for managing each project (Milestones, Components, etc.) via the web interface. Further I completely revised the eecoo policy by introducing groups and several realms for all subdomains. Trac based projects are now secured, too. It is possible to register to a project and the admin of a project has complete permission control. See Current Server Setup for a list of installed features.

  • Continuous Integration introduced
We recently set up Apache's Continuum for starting Continuous Integration (CI) of eecoo projects. CI helps us managing developement lifecycles and simplifies the participation of more contributors. Check each project's page to see if it's already enabled for CI. Continuum on the eecoo server can be reached through continuum.eecoo.net.
